Quality Assurance
Certification
Aravalley growers are certified by the leading quality assurance regulators, including GLOBALGAP and the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture Plant Protection and Inspection Services.
In addition, Aravalley maintains a rigorous internal system of quality assurance and traceability. We monitor every step from our growers’ fields through sorting, packaging, and distribution all the way to final delivery.
Process
At Aravalley, freshness, superior quality and customer satisfaction are always of paramount importance.
In the grower’s field, newly-harvested produce is carefully placed into soft plastic crates to prevent damage. The vegetables are immediately moved to our nearby top-of-the-line, temperature controlled packing house. There they are gently washed and dried before sorting and packing.
During sorting, the vegetables are graded and separated by quality. Lower standard produce is kept for local markets. Only the very highest quality vegetables are weighed, measured and prepared for export.
The selected produce is packed in 5 and 10kg boxes, or according to specific customer requirements. Through precise weighing and measurement, a uniform number of products are assured per box. Every box is labeled with a code indicating origin, harvest date and the grower’s individual number.
The boxes of produce are then palletized and cold-stored. For transportation, they are loaded onto pre-cooled refrigerated trailers or containers. Sorting, packaging and loading is all done in the same closed facility. At every stage, freshness and temperature are checked and rechecked.
In this way, Aravalley ensures uniform selection and packaging, an unbroken cold chain, and full traceability. This result is superb produce that maintains its quality from picking all the way to the supermarket shelf.
